Industrial Site Services were contract by Downer Soletanche Bachy Joint venture to assist with the install and removal of 200T temporary works steel during the construction of the Brittomart Station section of the City Rail Link project. Installing the steel was a simple process prior to the excavation of the tunnel but following construction access was restricted.
Scaffolding team was mobilized to build a 500m2 bird cage to allow the station refurbishment to continue during the tunnel construction. Our design team came up with a plan to provide the tunnels a lifeline by installing a 2T gantry crane on a 50m monorail to the underside of the scaffold to assist the tunnels construction team.
