As a safe, efficient and versatile solution to height access, Scaffolding is our bread and butter. Our scaffolding expertise covers heavy industrial, commercial and residential builds, spanning a vast range of applications such as dairy factories, energy producers, multi-level housing complexes, schools and retirement villages.

Scaffolding in Hamilton, Whangārei and the Bay of Plenty
Each of our branches covers its own region:
- Hamilton, for the Waikato. Our head office and workshop are at 13/15 Bristol Place, Te Rapa. The team here designed and certified the Sound Splash pedestrian bridge at Raglan.
- Whangārei, for Northland, at 50 Union East Street.
- Kawerau, for the Bay of Plenty, at 2/4 Paora Road. Industrial Site Services started here in 1991 as a rigging and scaffolding business.
Outside those regions, we're happy to travel almost anywhere; we went to central Auckland for the City Rail Link scaffold.
What we do
- Erect and dismantle: the scaffold goes up when your programme says so and comes down the day you're finished with it, so it isn't in the way once the job's done.
- Height access: working platforms for boiler houses, tank farms, stadium roofs and multi-level builds, designed for the trades that will use them.
- Propping and temporary works: holding a structure up while you take part of it away. At FMG Stadium the roof stayed supported while 38 tendons came out one at a time.
- Containment and wrap: weather and drop protection so painting, welding and blasting carry on in any weather and nothing lands on the people or ships underneath.
- Safety inspection: the scaffold gets checked while you're using it.
Where you'll have seen it
- Tauhara geothermal station, Taupō. Over 1,100 tonnes of scaffolding and height access equipment handled, installed and removed over about 16 months on a live construction site.
- Jetty refurbishment. 60 tonnes of contained scaffold at each end of the jetty, built over water without a dropped object while ships kept berthing. Nominated for SARNZ Scaffold of the Year.
- Brittomart, City Rail Link, Auckland. A 500 m² birdcage so the station refurbishment could carry on above the tunnel works, with a 2 tonne gantry crane on a 50 m monorail hung underneath it.
- Sound Splash, Raglan. A pedestrian bridge over the road into Ngarunui beach, designed and certified by the Hamilton team so festival-goers stopped crossing a live road.
- FMG Stadium tie rods, Hamilton. Propping and scaffolding for the replacement of 12 roof tendons and 26 level-two tendons, with temporary works designed alongside Holmes Consulting and fitted around Super Rugby Aotearoa fixtures.
How a scaffolding job runs
- Tell us what it has to reach. Drawings, photos or a site visit. We scope the job with you and design the scaffold in software, and where the design needs engineering certification we arrange it.
- The crew builds it. Gear comes from our own yard, containment goes on if the job needs it, and the work runs under our ISO 45001:2018 health and safety system. Certificates are on the Health & Safety page.
- We inspect it while you use it, then take it down. If the job grows, the rigging, rope access and engineering crews are the same company.
When scaffolding is the wrong answer
If the job is one technician at one point, inspection or a short repair, rope access is usually the better fit; see the Rope Access page. Single-house renovations aren't the work on this page: ring 0800 800 679 with the job and we'll say straight whether it's one for us. We design the scaffold and its temporary works; we aren't a structural engineering consultancy, so a structure that needs an engineer's producer statement gets that from your consultant or one we work alongside, as we did with Holmes Consulting at FMG.
