FMG Stadium Tie Rod Replacement

About the Job:

In 2020 ISS began upgrade of the FMG stadium it rods. To combat corrosion issues ISS was asked to replace 12 roof tendons and 26 level 2 tendons along with a structural upgrade and modification of the corresponding cleats. The challenge was to ensure the roof was fully supported during the removal of each tendon which required some creative thinking and kiwi ingenuity. ISS partnered with Holmes Consulting to design and developed a safe and robust temporary works plan which allowed full control at all times.

Working around the 2020 Super Rugby Aotearoa fixtures ISS was able to provide cost effective solutions to ensure stadium was fully functional when required.
