Stack Removal

Overview

As part of the ongoing deconstruction of the Otahuhu A Powerstation, Industrial Site Services was contracted to remove the four old, 6-metre diameter, 50-metre high exhaust stacks. This involved cutting, lifting and transporting the stacks, and then dissecting into smaller sections for scrapping. ISS managed the entire project, including Project and HSE Management, Craneage, Transport, Labour and Scrap Removal, all without disrupting the neighbouring B Powerstation switch yard.
