Industrial Site Services was contracted by Mighty River Power to raise their 12 ton, 30 metre long weir gate from its submerged operational position to an above-water position for structural repair. This was the first time this gate had been lifted by means other than hydraulic arms, so ISS had to install many temporary anchor points. The gate was monitored using load cells to ensure both ends were lifted with the same weight to avoid twisting the gate.
