A tower job needs four trades that don't usually share a ute: fabrication, civil works, rigging and rope access. Industrial Site Services has all four, so the foundation, the lift and the fabrication are one company's job and one phone number. You get a tower handed over standing.
We build communications, broadcast and lighting towers. Wind turbine towers are on the Renewables page.
We fabricate, install and maintain towers; we aren't a structural engineering consultancy. A tower that needs a producer statement gets its design from your engineer, or from a consultancy we work alongside, as we did with Holmes Consulting on the FMG Stadium roof. Wind turbine towers belong with our Renewables crews.
Yes, in our engineering workshop at Te Rapa, Hamilton. The NZ Police coastal tower and all 42 Lightwire rural broadband towers were fabricated there, with attachment points and accessories fitted before delivery.
On the Lightwire job we delivered materials by helicopter to remote sites and dealt with the terrain and landowner access ourselves. Each tower went up in four pieces.
Yes. Ruru Tower at Te Miro stayed live for central North Island radio during its rebuild; the crew worked in RF suits with monitors, over 3,800 labour hours with zero LTIs.
Yes. Seddon Park's 50 m towers were derigged and replaced in 2020, and FMG Stadium's four new towers went in for the 2023 Women's FIFA World Cup.
The NZ Police coastal tower we fabricated and installed in 2018 is on ongoing maintenance with us. Repairs at height are done by rope access where that costs less than a scaffold.
Wind turbine erection is its own service at ISS. See the Renewables page.
A short note to say thank you for attending the official opening of Te Mahi Hou last week.
Te Mahi Hou has been a significant undertaking for Refining NZ. I’m sure you’ll agree that the opening did justice to four years of hard-work by everyone involved to get the project successfully across the line.
Your continued support for Te Mahi Hou during that time is much appreciated.

G’day Graham
Firstly please pass on my thanks to the ISS team for the support over the weekend. With the amount of hours completed being incident-free was a great achievement. Your team's attitude and enthusiasm was outstanding. These types of companies Pollock Cranes wants to align with going forward.
